BRIAN KONZ, AIF®
Co-Owner and Founding Partner
Brian is co-owner and a founding partner of Oswald-Konz Financial Group. He has been in the financial services industry since 1995 and is currently a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, a Registered Investment Adviser.
Brian is very community-minded. He manages money for various churches and community foundations. In addition, Brian has served on various board positions on the Watertown Main Street Program. Currently, he is an advisor to the Watertown Educational Foundation Board, an active member of the YES! Watertown group, and volunteers for various community events.
Brian graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with an emphasis in business. He has completed the graduate school program on financial planning and has taken additional courses in estate planning. Brian has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation from Fiduciary360.
Brian was born in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Brian and his wife, Lora, married in 1990. They have two girls: Dannielle and Briaunna. As a family, they enjoy camping, volunteer work, reading, and bike riding. Watertown has been their home since 1990.
WILLIAM OSWALD, CFP®, AIF®
Co-Owner and Founding Partner
Bill and his wife, Jill, have lived in Watertown, Wisconsin, for 29 years. They have three children: William (24), Gabriella (23), and Elizabeth (22).
Bill’s oldest son, William, graduated from UW Eau Claire (both Bill and Jill’s alma mater) in biology a few years ago, but is back at the University of Minnesota pursuing a degree in computer science. He works on campus in a lab and is looking forward to a summer internship with Jack Links. Gabriella graduated from UW Eau Claire in communication sciences and disorders, and is currently attending graduate school at the University of Northern Iowa. She is expected to graduate in December and pursue a job in speech and language therapy. Liz graduated in May from UW Stout with an Applied Science degree. She was excited to have her last season of college basketball. Liz is heading to Eastern Illinois in the fall as a graduate assistant for their women’s basketball program while receiving her master’s degree in sports administration.
One of Bill’s passions is giving back to the community. Bill is an active member of the Watertown Rotary Club (treasurer) and serves on the boards of Marquardt Village, The Greater Watertown Community Health Foundation, and the Watertown Community Foundation. In the past, Bill has been president of the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce, Watertown Area Soccer Club, a volunteer coach of many sports, and involved in the Watertown Economic Development Organization.
There is always time to balance work, volunteering, and play. Bill and Jill really enjoy spending time up north at their extended family place, where they get to spend time with family and friends. Up at their cabin or around Watertown, you may also find them on one of their tandem bikes biking for exercise or fun. In addition, you can find Bill playing tennis, pickleball, golfing, on a long walk, or reading.

Bill obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2005. He also has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation from Fiduciary360, through which he received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. He is currently a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®.
Katie brings to Oswald-Konz Financial Group more than 15 years of administrative and customer support experience.
Katie joined Oswald-Konz Financial in 2015 and has a very diverse customer experience background along with a positive and caring “can do” attitude. She considers client satisfaction of the utmost importance. Her ability to multi-task and prioritize work efforts ensures the best results for our clients.
Katie is a notary public in the state of Wisconsin. Her education is in travel and tourism, and she has taken continuing education classes throughout her career.
Katie grew up in and still lives in Watertown, Wisconsin. Katie married her husband, Dan, in 2002. They have three boys: Jonathan, Christopher, and Carson. Katie is involved in the sports and school activities of her children. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors.
